Kayenta arts Festival - St. George, Utah

I am in St. George, Utah for the Kayenta Arts Festival with my great friend Tim Zandee. He is a spectacular nature photographer. Check him out at www.tzimages.com We are going to be here through Sunday and then we are going to head into Zion to do some exploration. I had the great gift of seeing some old freinds in D-town. They are actually current friends and my age; I am just not in as close proximation as I used to be with them.

Welcome to the world, Anna Rose

I woke up at 5am and Lia wasn't in bed. So I rubbed the crusties from my eye sockets and walked into the living room to see what the deal was.

"What do you think about having a baby on July 9th," she said.

We were supposed to have the baby on July 11th by induction or something. But hey, whatever. I said, "Sure, the 9th would be fine." And I went off to fix coffee. Then, it dawned on me. Today was July 9th!

A few hours later Anna Rose was born. 6 pounds 10 ounces of screams and tears. She has stolen my entire heart.
