Only in Winston...can you take the Fellows Wine Tasting and bring your kids to pet the llamas! (Divine Llama Vineyards) |
THE WEEK
This week went by so fast it was like I wasn't even here! Wait a second - I wasn't!
Thank you Rich and Sue |
When I married Lia, I knew I was marrying way up. I know lots of guys say it - but when I say it other people nod and go, "Yes you did!" Ha!
One thing even these people don't even know is that I married into an amazing family - thanks to Rich and Sue we spent Spring Break with them down in Bonita Springs Florida.
The Fellows Team didn't seem to mind me leaving...that had it covered.
The Admissions Team interviewed not one but two fantastic candidates.
Round Table was Breakast for Dinner at the Paynters domicile - Thank you Rob and Becky! Tucker did the bacon.
Tuesday. Grace took her coworkers out to lunch to celebrate Denny's birthday!
Grace and the boys |
Leader Lunch was at Forsyth Country Day School with Michelle Klosterman who admittedly by all including headmaster Gardner Barrier, runs the show over there.
Michelle and the gang |
Kate organized the entire event. Great job Kate! I was bummed not to be there.
Friday Class went off without a hitch (except that Wake Forest Transportation Services have suddenly become the bane of our existence - I do not wish to complain, but the more we follow the rules, the more we get tickets. This has to stop!)
We did have the pleasure of hosting Erin Kalb from USC.
Welcome Erin |
Erin is entering BB&T's Leadership Development Program, but chose it over other options because word has gotten to South Carolina that the Winston-Salem Fellows Program is where it is at!
I wasn't planning on this happening - but the Fellows are attracting people to Winston-Salem - just to be a part of what is going on here! Wow!
Later Friday some Fellows met up with me and the family at Divine Llama for some afternoon fun.
We named this llama JP |
the gang |
Saturday several crew members went to the Burke Street Food Truck Festival in the rain. Woo hoo!
Most went Mongolian |
Fellow Tucker Bartholomew was bartending...not pictured because he was working!
Winston-Salem Public House |
It is great to be back!
RECRUITMENT UPDATE
I'm working on two more recruitment trips this week or next.
We sent out an offer last week and will likely send out another offer this week. For those of you following closely, my friend Hannah who I have been pursuing hard turned us down this week.
Major Bummer.
We are still friends.
Pray for 1 more guy!!!
Also pray for all those who have committed!!!

We are holding steady - meaning not a lot of action on the donation front. If you would like to make a positive difference to this trend, give

A HIGHLIGHT
I know facebook has been getting a lot of bad press, but because of facebook, our friends Jonathan and Bonnie discovered that we were vacationing just down the street from them!
The Fentons just got back from 11 years in Australia! They were two of my all-time great Young Life Leaders. And I have enjoyed watching them thrive down under and see their family grow.
What a treat!
