Tim is an all star Fellow |
Hey Fellows Friends. I'm just getting back from a quick road trip down to Orlando and back. It has been quite a whirlwind. So apologies for being late on the UPDATE.
Can't wait to catch you all up.
THE WEEK
The first part of the week was a little ruff...
down and out for the count |
On Sunday, I started going down hill fast. I had the chills so bad I had to lead worship in my winter coat. By the afternoon I was on the couch moaning and groaning.
Monday, I get a call from school. David is out for the count with the same stuff I had. It was tough.
I was able to mostly push through. We moved Round Table from our germ filled house, and Tuesday I still was able to manage a trip to Montreat College for Recruiting (might have been a bad decision). But Ned keeps his commitments, so off I went.
By Wednesday, I was on the mend.
Dr. Rebecca Alexander and the team |
We had our LEADER LUNCH with Dr. Rebecca Alexander who led the Wake Downtown move as well as spends her time working on proteins in the chemistry lab.
What an amazing leader, communicator, thinker, and scientist! Thank you Dr. Alexander.

No autographs please |
FRIDAY. We had our final class with Jack Wilkerson. A sad and happy thing. Jack is one of the best gifts we get in this program.
Sadly, I had to miss class. Christian, Mathu and I road tripped down to Orlando for the New Canaan Society National Conference (because we went, we beat the Manhattan chapter by one person!) There were 59 of us from Winston-Salem in all. Pretty awesome.
We had the chance to celebrate Jay Helvey being selected as the new managing partner for the organization.
Bill was there |
When on a NCS retreat, do as the NCSsers do |
We did have some fun |
We got a little ditzy in the car...
On the way home, we visited with Hunter Lambeth
Hunter |
And learned from the Israeli and Palestinian staff about what God is doing in the Middle East. We also had the chance to meet with Mihalis Litsikakis, who will be leading our trip to Greece in a couple months.
that was a huge blessing. We stayed up past midnight, getting to know each other better and then this morning, we were able to sit down and plan out the trip in detail.
It was great having Christian and Mathu there to help.
One perk was the massage chair. |
I did not like it as much as the guys did.
YOUTH RETREAT!

FIRST PRES YOUTH
Kelly had the chance to share her testimony |
We had a big scare this weekend. Trent's girlfriend was in a bad car accident on her way through Charlotte. Fortunately, she is ok. But her car is totaled.
Please join us for praying for Jess. So thankful she is ok.
RECRUITING
We are interviewing three folks as we speak.
But we also want to welcome JOSEPH DIXON! Joseph is graduating from Wake Forest this spring as a philosophy major. He is from Mount airy originally and has an interesting family background. We connected from one of our favorite people and friends of the Fellows - Griff Gatewood.
Thanks Griff!
Keep helping us recruit! How? Pray! Introduce! Connect!
We for sure need at least one guy and one more gal, so come on!
