Caught outside of Priddy's General Store on a gorgeous Friday afternoon |
I'll tell ya. You know you've hit the big time when the Stokes County social media director takes your picture and posts it.
We were at Priddy's General Store enjoying in my opinion the best pimento cheese sandwiches in the world when this guy asked if he could snap our picture.
This is not a candid friends! Ha!
A GREAT FIRST WEEK
What a great first week! The Fellows have jumped right in. Work. Family. Play. Trivia night. Demon Deacon Football. These guys have done it right - even with a little Mary's Gourmet Brunch on Saturday morning. Does it get better?
Monday. The Fellows came over the Ericksons house for the first Round Table of the year. We went around sharing our Rose, Bud, Thorns. Went over details for the week. Then worshipped and prayed. A great night.
We have had some big things happen in our Fellows lives with jobs falling into place and other miraculous details coming together. I'll tell you - it's not me who does this stuff. I just get to be there to watch when it happens.
Wednesday. Jackson and I repped the Fellows over at Piedmont International University and met several seniors who I think we got interested in the Fellows.
Afterward, I went to pick up food for Leader Lunch and ran into my favorite deli girl, Mary.
She messed up our order but what a smile! |
We then had out first leader lunch of the year with the one and only Nigel Alston. Somehow he escaped getting pictured. I know he has a few on his phone but he only sent me the ones without him. Come on, man!

I even have a picture of me on Nigel's back porch with LB the Poet and Jackson. But no Nigel!
Man do I look small! |
Anyway - trust me. Nigel spoke. And took pictures. It was a tremendous way to start the year.
Friday - It had been a crazy intense first ten days, so we decided to head out of Winston for the morning and hike Hanging Rock.

Thank you to Cassia Capital for a great gift of tickets to the Wake Game Friday night. Wow! What a night to be a Deacon with a comeback win over the Aggies!

Labor Day Weekend
Mattie's amazing parents came for a visit and took several gals out for brunch at Mary's Gourmet. So good. |
