BIG REVEAL
This fall, in lieu of a big fundraising event, we decided to put our resources in creating a short visual that tells our story. We hope you enjoy it!
THE ASK
One of the things I am most proud of is that we run about as lean an organization as you can run. However, we still need your help. Our overall budget this year is $172,000.
We need to raise $68,000 of it through individuals like you. Support us today!

Online, there is even a monthly option.
As the chief custodian of this organization, I want to personally thank you for your support. We love what you allow us to do, and the future is only getting brighter.
Thanks.
HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE WEEK
We were welcomed into the Davis home for Round Table |
Jackson's host family, Ron and Ellen Davis provided us with a warm home and and warm meal for Round Table.
Haley was a little concerned that the chili was made out of venison |
After dinner, we went around and shared our word for this Christmas season.
Our words |
Leader Lunch was with Tina Parker.
It was a super sweet treat to have her welcome us in her home. |
Hospitality at its finest |
Tina has an awesome story. Professionally, she is a speech pathologist and a business owner with her husband. She is also the founder of Imago Dei, a ministry that helps women know their true identity.
Beyond that, we were inspired by the way Tina and her family live their lives, putting others above themselves, being generous with their stuff, and living with real raw authenticity.
What a breath of fresh air!

Community Conversation with David Brooks
A couple of us went to the David Brooks conversation at Reynolds Auditorium Thursday night. Here is a picture and our notes.

Jackson took notes for us |
Thank you Winston-Salem Foundation for bringing in such an amazing speaker.
And congratulations for being around 100 years!

Alumni Happy Hour
We started a new tradition Friday night. On the First Friday at Fiddlin Fish, Fellows Far and wide are invited to come together at Five. Lots of F's.
Campbell actually wasn't able to join us so we partook on Tuesday. |
Enjoying my newest favorite Winston beverage. If you haven't tried a Bingo Bango you are missing out! |
Holiday Parade
Two of our Fellows not only attended but were IN the Jaycee's Holiday Parage this year! Welcome to the big time Jessica and Reiley!
High fiving down fourth street |
Almost famous |
Saturday Fail
Outside Reynolds Auditorium Saturday night |
The Fellows volunteered to serve on Saturday for the "Nativity According to the Gospels" (formally known as the Black Nativity) (also known as my favorite Christmas tradition)...
The only problem was it wasn't this Saturday, it's in two Saturdays! Oh boy.
We ended up going out and watching football. fun times.
The Love Feast
Another Winston-Salem Tradition unlike any other |
Most of the Fellows were able to go to the Wake Forest Love Feast at Wait Chapel Sunday night.
Is there anything better than those sweet buns and even sweeter luke warm coffee?
I don't think so!
A Holy Night |
They are true Winston-Salemites now |
Lia and I played our small part |
RECRUITING
We had a great interview on Friday with another potential Fellow and are setting up interviews with two more in the next week or so.
Exciting stuff!
If you know of a college senior or recent college graduate looking for a great option for next year, please share with them about the Fellows and put us in touch!
CHRISTMAS
The Fellows get two weeks off for Christmas, so we go big between now and then. There is simply too much good stuff going on. We can't do it all, but we certainly will try! Ha!
