ain't feeling sheepish about our last full day in Greece |
A FINE FINALE
Our last day, we headed down to Lavrio for a hike through the old mines overlooking the Aegean Sea.
Our leader was a great guy named Johannes. It was his first time ever leading a hike.
We had an inauspicious start. He forgot his map. So I got to treat everyone to coffee!

The HIKE
Johannes showed us this well that was so deep it took five seconds for a rock to hit the bottom!

After lunch, we had a little siesta.

Eventually we woke up and I had the chance to teach our Congo and Togo friends at church.
It was pretty crazy. I spoke in English. Thanos translated into Greek. Then a woman translated from Greek to French.
We made it work

Everyone sang. It was such a sweet moment. A perfect ending to an amazing week.
Our week in Greece was everything we prayed it would be and more. Thank you for your prayers, your support and your well wishes.
I know it won't be my last time to travel to this beautiful part of the world. I would love to take some of you with me next time!
