Introducing our newest Bible Study Leader - Rob Paynter!

The Fellows are arriving on August 19th...nine days from now! Holy smokes!

There are so many things happening at the moment. My apologies for keeping this update short.

We are looking for jobs.

We are looking for mentors.

We are looking for "Host Families."

We are coordinating with churches.

Oh. And we are putting the Fellows House in order. I am currently surrounded by brand new toilet brushes!

The new reality.

"HOST FAMILIES"

Michelle and Eddie Schapira is the kind of Family Friend we are looking for

Even Eddie loves take out from River Birch

Even though our Fellows are no longer living with families this year, we still want them to connect deeply with families in our community.

With that in mind, we are creating a new volunteer opportunity. So instead of Host Family. We now have Family Friends.

These families will be hosting their Fellow for a meal once a week and serving as their home away from home. It is no replacement for the intimacy of the host family experience. However, we are hoping to create similar bonds this way between our Fellows and families in our city.

Round Table continues even after the program finishes

What a gift it has been to continue with the rhythms of meeting together and breaking read with one another. It has been one of the highlights of the summer.

Haley and Reiley were great hosts this week.

The Fellows are coming and we are busting our you know whats trying to get stuff in place for when they arrive.
