UPDATE Week of December 14

DECK THE WALLS

The Fellows have made their house a home, and I couldn't be more happy about. As we head into our final week of the semester, I am overwhelmed with joy for the gift this community has been to this city.

THE WEEK

ROUND TABLE AT BRIANNE'S

Brianne had us all over Monday night (and Bailey back over in the morning for breakfast!)

We piled into Brianne's place on Elizabeth Ave.

We worshipped our socks off

Poor Hayes had to be at work at 5am. He was feeling it!

A crisp cold night it was!

Tori andEmily sang some Christmas music for us

Rossi displays the good eats

We had some special guests with us - Molly and Sydney (perspective Fellows). It was a beautiful evening.

CELBRATING AJ and ZOOMING with JED

AJ's birthday is this week - but we decided to celebrate him early. We simply couldn't wait.

We really look up to him

As is our tradition, we loved on him real good.

C-Fil in quarantine joined in.

Afterward, we had a Great LEADER LUNCH with Dr. Jed Macosko, Physicist and Author.

A great day. Jed and his wife Cecilie wrote a companion book to My Utmost For His Highest (which the Fellows are reading this year together). It was a little surprise to bring in an expert to speak to them on our last Leader Lunch of the semester.

BIBLE STUDY MEN'S

One of the highlights of this year is the hour of Pickleball the Men get to play before we have our Bible Study. I look forward to it every week!

BELOVED COMMUNITY

We have absolutely loved Dr. Anthony Jones. Here is one reason. Check it out! Beware! You will be blown away!

The Fellows shared their year end projects for the Beloved Community.

They were awesome!

Heyes, Bryn, Lynn and C-Fil share about the Church

Tori, AJ, Emily and Michelle share about the City

Owen, Sam, Meghan and Bailey talk about the Country

It was one of the most powerful moments we have had as a community this year. What a blessing!

GIFT MART and LOVING THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Michelle does whatever it takes

She helped lead her churches Christmas Community outreach!

Bryn volunteered at the Christmas Gift Mart

Dave provided some muscle

FEELING FESTIVE

The Fellows got into the Christmas spirit big time

It's going to take a skinny Santa to get down this chimney.

OUT OF QUARANTINE!

We are celebrating a successful quarantine for Caroline Filston

FOND FAREWELL

Some old Fellows gathered together to celebrate Tim Spangler as he heads to Nashville to start his new job.

OK. The rumors are true. I cried.

RECRUITING UPDATE

Meet Devin Coombs.

Devin hails from Frederick, Maryland and will be graduating from UNCW in May. She is a multi-talent with a huge heart and a gift of loving others well.

We are honored and excited to welcome her to our community.

Hopefully more good news soon...
