UPDATE Week of March 8

WE LOVE OUR CITY

Sunset from the top deck

It's so cool to see how over the course of the year these Fellows from as far away as Chicago and Kentucky and as close as Clemmons can fall in love with a city. Our city.

ROUND TABLE

Andrew Applegate joined us for Round Table Monday night.

With spring and vaccines coming, we are taking advantage of every opportunity we get to meet amazing people and hear their stories.

Andrew, CEO of Arbor Acres, shared his Monday night with us. He gave a talk about things I wish I knew when I was 23. He nailed it. Thanks Andrew!

He also provided a gourmet meal from the office!

#yum

After Andrew left, the Fellows were feeling lots of love

We supervised

LEADER LUNCH

On Wednesday, we had a neat-o repeat-o Leader Lunch with Ben Jones, Executive Director of the Barnabas Center.

Counseling, we believe is not just for the sick but the "healthy"

Ben also helped us debrief our Mentoring Experience as he wears the Mentor Coordinator hat for the Fellows.

It was a beautiful day, so we took advantage of it.

Hef taught us how to make rice like Chipotle

The secret is limes and cilantro

NEW LIFE

Since we say no to animal pets, the Fellows have pivoted to the plant variety.

Meet "Walter"

BIBLE STUDS

We resumed our Bible Study on Wednesday.

Owen and the blanket of many colors.

Special Thanks to our Bible Study Leaders: David Rainey and Rob Paynter

Our lady leaders are: Shannon Rainey and Beth Hilliard.

Y'all rock!

BOWL-O-RAMA

Saturday, we took it to the lanes

This is what you do after a double strike

LIMING AROUND

AJ helped us figure out what to do with the limes when we were done making rice

I learned half a lime doesn't fit in my mouth so well

RECRUITMENT

We welcome our second JMU student of the year! Hannah Hildebrand is from Virginia Beach, Virginia. She is a sweetheart. What excites us most about her is Hannah's ability to make places feel like home. In other words, our community just got a whole lot better!

She is graduating with a Biology Major. She was also a Young Life Leader and a Maintenance Ranger at First Landing State Park.

Welcome Hannah. We are excited about you!

GIVE

We appreciate our supporters!

Thank you, all of you, who give generously to this mission. We can't do it without you.

As a lean, mean, non-profit machine - we take every donated dollar seriously. If you are looking for a good investment - invest in the Fellows. It pays dividends.

Set up a meeting to talk about giving:
