The Fellows went on a little Friday adventure at Westbend Winery. More on that later. You may notice a few Fellows from past programs in this pic. They are with significant others...what!
THE WEEK
It was a shortened week because of the Winter Advance.
On Monday night, after a long weekend sharing our stories, the Fellows relaxed together at the house with some Mellow Mushroom and Cook Out. Covering all the food groups here!
Wednesday. We continued our Dating Series with Andy Stanley. It's been great. Afterward we split up guys and gals and had our weekly Bible Study. Back in person.
Thursday. Many of our Fellows visit with their "Family Friends." These are families who "adopt" a Fellow for the year and invite them into their lives.
Michelle Howard is learning all about animals with her family friends, the Deatons. It has been quite the adventure!
On Friday, our Fellows had an outstanding session with Molly Lineberger, one of the counselors in the Office for Professional and Career Development at Wake Forest University.
The Fellows feverishly took notes and learned about resume writing, job hunting, networking, and landing that next job after the Fellows.
THANK YOU MOLLY! You are the best.
Meanwhile, Ned traveled to Jamestown, NC to spend the day with the Piedmont Fellows. He administrated the Highlands Ability Battery for them and then met with each person individually.
According to his Garmin, he logged 40,000 steps!
While Ned was career coaching, the Fellows sallied over to Westbend Winery.
I'm not entirely sure of the story behind this, but I believe Owen put on an impromptu concert for the clientele!
Some folks are rock stars and some folks are really rock stars.
It appeared there was also a feast
And AJ wore this.
On Saturday, Several Fellows took adventure of the crisp sunny day to go up to Pilot Mountain
Sunday was connecting back to our churches and youth groups.
Ah. What a week. What a life.
RECRUITING UPDATE
Sydney is finishing up school at James Madison University. She is from Richmond, Virginia and has a love for hospitality. It's a passion and it is also her major! I can't wait to see how she uses these gifts in Winston-Salem next year.
Sydney is also a Young Life leader and has a passion for community. I'm sure she will enrich ours next year!
Welcome!
We are still accepting applications for next year ESPECIALLY MEN. If you know someone who you know would benefit from a year of career advancement, professional development and spiritual formation - PLEASE send them our way.
