UPDATE Week of November 2

For the kids

THE FELLOWS UPDATE...

food.

festivities.

and a few fantastic moments.

What a great week. We celebrated. We laughed. We got deep. And we served in some rather creative ways. When Jesus talked about life to the full, I believe he was talking about weeks like this one...

Ready or not. Here comes the UPDATE!

ROUND TABLE MONDAY NIGHT

A special thanks to Chad and Caroline Brown for hosting us on their back patio. Hayes said it was his favorite meal so far this year.

One highlight was finally getting to celebrate Emily Sandstedt is Covid free and off of Corona watch.

Happy Birthday Emmie!

Two thumbs up on the porch swing

Chili and cornbread in October...perfect!

We kept the neighbors up with some worship.

We got so into The Goodness of God, we decided to sing it twice!

LEADER LUNCH

Chuck Spong and Liz Miller shared their stories and talked about Love Our Loud for our Leader Lunch this week.

There are few people I know who more smack dab in the middle of "their deep gladness and the world's deep need" than Chuck.

What a gift he brings to our city.

So fun to see JM (Fellow Alum) in their Case for Support.

DAY APART

We had a two part day apart on Friday.

Part one.

Joe Moore led us in a miniature retreat where we practiced silence and listening for the still small voice of the Lord.

Emphasis on practice.

We had a great location though.

TJ Sigler with Love Out Loud Yadkin hosted us at the East Bend Property.

What a great place to retreat. I found a spot by some trees that had fallen in the tropical storm that blew through the night before.

More Pictures later...

Part two.

Kevin Frack led us in our second miniature retreat where we practiced experiencing God through participating with nature.

We prepared a meal with food that had been harvest.

While it cooked we shucked beans.

Then, we went to the garden and gathered peppers.

Then, we visited the chicks. Lots of pictures later!

Then, we returned to eat our meal.

It was delicious! We shared stories around food and talked about how we had seen the Lord this week.

FRIDAY FRISBEE and COMMUNITY MEAL

We wrapped up Frisbee season with a tournament and a community dinner

parents and family came. That's Sheila waving. She is a prayer warrior.

FUNKY DUCK

At the Winston Junction Market on Saturday Morning - the Funky Duck took flight!

What is the Funky Duck?

Basically, they are the very best French Fries period.

We use Duck Fat, which is the finest cooking fat there is. On top of it, Will Shields of the Slanted Shed Food Truck fame create this secret recipe that takes the thing to another level.

Add in some friendly Fellows, and voila!

Funky Duck is born

We had some friendly customers

David and I were squids for Halloween. Lots of black ink here

We did a haunted trail with some friends. They really went all out.

All the parents hid along the trail and scared the dickens out of our children. Ha!

Halloween Party

Caroline and Caroline were invited to a party hosted by former Fellows

Other Fellows got into the Great Halloween Bake-off!

Hayes led worship Thursday, Friday, Saturday, AND Sunday! at three different events around the area.

WHAT A WEEK!

Two thumbs up from Caroline R. The Love Out Loud house was built by people my size it appears!
