UPDATE Week of February 3

Jessica has no idea we are celebrating her!

until about now

This is the reaction when it is your half birthday and everyone knows it but you...

THE WEEK

It was yet another action packed week in Fellows Land.

Monday night we celebrated Jessica Baker during ROUND TABLE at Bill and Myrtie's. We managed to surprise her. We went around and shared our Rose Bud Thorns and listened to Myrtie stories and tremendous fun was had by all.

Shannon and Myrtie. Two of the shining stars of Winston-Salem right here

thumbs up on the meal

It felt a little like Christmas in January

TUESDAY. Reiley, Jackson, Shannon and Ned drove down to Davidson College to hear Bryan Stevenson, author of Just Mercy, speak.

Reiley, Jackson, Shannon and Ned had a competition to see who knew the most people in the audience. I lost.
I am sure he gives this talk a lot - but it is worth hearing again and again. Why can't people like Bryan run for president!

WEDNESDAY. Our LEADER LUNCH this week was with my great friend Mike Campbell at Habitat for Humanity.

Mike gave us a behind the scenes tour of the entire facility!
We also had a special guest - David - who was off from school

Redeemer and Hope Church from last year's mission trip
We got to visit Brianne's cubicle!

Thanks Mike for a great lunch. I appreciate your honesty and vulnerability in the way you tell your story. Thank you for also reminding us that family is important, not just work. Or that there are things that are actually more important than work. What a gift. Thanks friend.

SAMARITAN INN. Half the Fellows did Samaritan Inn last week. The other half did it this week.

SATURDAY

We and about 1000 some people walked the newly completed Salem Parkway - 6 months early!

The Chikfila cow was very excited about the opening. I can't tell you who was underneath but he can beat me in a race with the cow suit on
We had the chance to celebrate our friends launch of their new company - Tokyn
Download the Tokyn App today - especially if you are into board games. I'm not. Yet. But I might after this amazing app just came out!
