UPDATE Week of October 5

A Great Week

and an Even GREATER WEEKEND!

I'm going to let the photos do most of the talking this week (there are a lot of them). Each year, we head to the mountains for our Fall Advance. It has become one of the most meaningful, impactful weekends of the year. And this one was no exception.

But there was also some exceptional parts to the week as well!

ROUND TABLE MONDAY

Ron and Ellen Davis were the hosts with the most this week. It was a perfect night. Jackson Wood joined us. Ellen made some song selections that were spot on. Ron lit a fire. I have never seen one light so fast!

We had an awesome time of sharing and caring for one another.

LEADER LUNCH with STEVE LINEBERGER

Steve is consistently great at sharing his story, but this Leader Lunch seemed a little greater than usual. He combined humility, honesty, vulnerability, and know-how into a smorgasbord of excellent communication.

Thanks Steve!

Afterward, we had another great Bible Study. The guys had a showdown throw down pickle ball match (David Rainey basically wiped the driveway with us) prior to study. It was awesome.

After that, we had farm service and Southside frisbee.

ACCESS 2 SUCCESS

Reiley Burris hosted a fundraiser for Acmes 2 Success Thursday night!

NCS FRIDAY MORNING

Murf and I had the chance to share the stage again and talk about Jesus, friendship, and the joys and challenges of ministry. What a treat!

FRIDAY CLASS

Joe Moore did a fantastic job with the Fellows once again.

Afterward, I had a great walk with Kim King. What an inspiring woman. She has been working here at Crossnore for 37 years!

 THE FALL ADVANCE

I'm not even going to attempt to capture what happened this weekend.

Basically, we walk the Fellows through a process by which to see their stories. Then, we give them space to reflect and contemplate how to see themselves with new eyes. All this leads to Sunday morning when we come together and make declarations.

This doesn't do the experience justice. Honestly, I wish everyone got to go through this...it is life-changing!

Time to experience some freedom!
