UPDATE Week of March 12

Tucker's burning up the job front

SPRING FORWARD EDITION

I don't know what they're doing over there at Habitat for Humanity, but their new employee photos are eye-catching! Actually, it was just our Graphic Design savvy Tate Heisler who put this little gem together of Tucker. Hilarious!

Tate showing us where all the creativity comes from

Tate and Tucker were working remotely at one point this week.

note to employer.

While I'm thinking of it, a special thank you to all our employers!

ROUND TABLE. We had a very special Round Table with our friends, Bill and Myrtie Davis.

Thank you Bill and Myrtie!

Grace led us in a cheer. And then MYRTIE blew us away with a cheer of her own!

Not sure how to make the video horizontal. But wow! Myrtie. She is truly amazing.

LEADER LUNCH. We continued our Senior Theme with a Leader Lunch at Senior Services with friends: President and CEO Lee Covington, COO Kristen Perry, and Fellows Alum Jessica Kok!

It was great having an insider to put everything together. Thanks Jessica!

Lee gave a talk on the three R's of his vocational journey: "Risk, Resilience, and Relationships." Thanks Lee!

The Fellows had some great questions, and a good time truly was had by all!

thank you team Senior Services!

That afternoon was a little crazy.

The guys had small group.

The girls went to Sheetz.

So many choices

I went to an interview with a potential Fellow, then, met up with Andrew Miller who has already accepted. Here's Andrew:

We audibled and went to Reynolda Gardens to celebrate Morgan's birthday.

I'm not saying where they got those flowers

The Fellows tradition of going around and sharing what they love about the birthday person.

Then, we and the recruits went to dinner before heading back home. Whew!

Thursday was just as full!

The highlight was going out to support Tucker, who was performing at an open mic at the Muddy Creek Cafe.

Check him out! There are two more on YouTube where that came from:

What a night!

FRIDAY was class day. David Speakman finished up his three week seminar and received a standing ovation for his efforts.

This weekend was a well-earned family weekend for the director.

Next week we are camping!

Welcome Connor Pereyo

Connor and his friend Dana
Connor comes to us from Greenville, South Carolina. He attended Clemson University right up the road where he has studied marketing and volunteered as a Young Life leader. The dude is awesome. I can't wait for you to meet him! Welcome, Connor!

LOOKING AHEAD

I'm writing this as I am looking at the snow fall from the sky...but the current plan is.

Round Table at the Perry's
Leader Lunch with Drew Gerstymer (one of the Developers of the brand new RamKat Music Venue among like twenty other things)
Friday Class with Rob
Friday-Sunday Fellows Camping Trip near Brevard, NC.

- I'm slammed with a full schedule. Lots of good things. Probably need this snow day!
- Keep praying for Recruiting. We have another big interview on Tuesday. And we plan to send out some invitations this week. Hoping for another interview this weekend with a potential fellow.
- Keep praying for health. Natalie came down with the flu. And I've got the sniffles.
- Pray also for Board Recruitment. The Advancement Team is working hard to nail down our next class of Board Members.

THANK YOU!

A few more great pics from the week...
