UPDATE Week of September 13

WHAT A WEEK!

PASSING THROUGH

Grace Mezzy introduced us to Walker her fiancee!!!

It was so great to see old pals and to pray for them.

HITCHHIKERS GUIDE TO CLIMBING

They closed the road to the top of Pilot. Fortunately, we were able to hitchhike up AND down the mountain.

We found a wall we could all enjoy.

THE BOYS MANSION

We had Fellows round Table at the "Boys Mansion" on Miller St.

We ate some take out Chinese. Talked about love. And a great time was had by all.

DIRECTORS CALL

Once a month we jump on a Director's Call with the other Fellows Directors from around the country.

NIGEL ALSTON

Nigel came in person this year to speak to the Fellows. He is the tops.

I also got to spend some time with his better half.

Thank you Nigel!

OLD SALEM TOUR

Afterward, we went on a walking tour of Old Salem with my pal Ginny Tobiason.

She is really good y'all

David killed it on Thursday with a great top ten finish and second overall for Summit

FAITH DRIVEN INVESTORS

That day we also helped out at the Faith Driven Investors Watch Party at River Birch. Andrew Miller, Fellows Alum is up front. What a guy.

FREEDOM RIDE

We did a Freedom Ride with the Fellows on Friday morning.

Because of Covid, I led it. Next year, we will get a pro.

Sydney and Delaney serenaded us during a pee break

Jamo looks out over Highway 52

It was a sober morning - but good.

BILL MCCLAIN

Afterward, we met with Bill McClain who shared his story with us and helped us understand more about the Black person's experience.

How I love this man.

BONFIRE

Sam prepared his famous S'Mores for us.

It was a fabulous night to be outside on Friday. we spent it with four generations of Fellows as well as friends of Fellows around a beautiful bonfire and a spectacular night sky.

There were even fireworks at the fairgrounds!

MENTOR TRAINING

Saturday morning, our mentors and some family friends got together to be trained by Ben Jones, the Executive Director of the Barnabas Center Triad. This is the second time I've gone over this material. I can't wait for the third time! It's so good.

Thanks Ben!

RECRUITMENT

Don't want to jinx it, but I would love for that guy on the left to be a Fellow next year. His name is Kevin.

I also met with a guy named Thomas this week.

Let's pray them both in!
